Who we are:

This organisation, the Professional Dog Walkers Association (PDWA) is an ISO9001:2015 registered, national trade association founded and managed by small committee of dog walking professionals, for dog walking professionals with the aim of setting industry standards by implementing professional and ethical values. The PDWA believes that the industry needs an affordable and proactive trades body that cares about both the clients needs and expectations as well as the dog walkers servicing them. Based in Aberdeenshire we serve the whole of the UK.

What we do:

The dog walking industry is currently one of the UK's fastest growing industries for new small business start ups but is unregulated. The PDWA has two main aims:

1. To help protect and nurture genuine, dedicated, new and existing dog walking businesses by providing support to and a voice for the dog walking industry.
2. Provide information and assistance to the public who may be looking to employ a dog walker.

We care about the industry as a whole and work alongside other industry professionals to help improve areas of concern including dog walkers, insurance companies, councils; advocate knowledge and individual professional development.

We help established dog walking businesses and help set up and mentor your new dog walking business, help you with the best possible start. We do not tell you how to run your own business.

Knowledge and experience is an integral part of your business and the PDWA advocates professional development at all levels, whether you are an experienced dog handler or a new start. We believe that client satisfaction and peace of mind should be at the heart of any business and as a ISO 9001-2015 certificated organisation, our management do our very best to ensure and promise that this association is managed as effectively and honestly as possible with the aim of passing on our knowledge and experience to all interested parties i.e. existing business who wish to progress their business to the next level, supporting new business start ups but most importantly providing a platform where all our clients know they can find trusted, vetted and approved dog walkers.
