Walking With Bea
PDWA Member Profile:
I have worked with dogs and cats for a number of years. I currently own an Alaskan Malamute and four cats and I have a keen interest in all aspects of both feline and canine behaviour and training.
I walk a maximum of four dogs per walk. I have experience of walking dogs with special requirements, helping to improve their social skills and manners, and where possible integrating these dogs into small appropriate group walks to build their confidence and sociability.
I also do training walks to cover specific requirements such as recall, often working in tandem with the owners.
I find it particularly rewarding to inspire owners to learn skills using kind and force free training methods. This enables owners to effectively communicate with their dogs to build a lasting bond based on trust and understanding. Every dog has its own unique personality and I enjoy adopting a flexible approach to bring out the best in each one.
In addition I currently work at Very Important Pets on a free lance basis co-running Puppy Basics and Adolescent Classes and I also do one to one training appointments and home visits.
